The Big Sick (movie review)

The Big Sick is based on a real-life story of Pakistani comedian Kumail Nanjiani and his wife Emily V. Gordon. In fact, Nanjiani is the one starring as himself in the movie. This movie is a love story and a comedy that has family (though not entirely appropriate for young kids) and cultural aspects as well as life lessons for everyone. The movie does an amazing job of being funny, romantic and sad without one emotion overpowering the others. Even though the plot may have you crying at parts, there are plenty of hilarious jokes along the way. This is a great one to watch if you need a laugh, want to cry some and to watch with friends or family.
